This paper aims to present a proposal to improve this methodology for the analysis of heterogeneous capacities based on the profit margin per product. Which was structured in three moments: development of the proposal, deployment in a business context, and validation of the results through the application of a linear programming method. This proposal considers the five initial steps of the existing tools as a starting point, taking as a reference the normal time available for each homogeneous group and introducing modifications in the steps. The application of the methodology in the conditions of SMEs demonstrated its ability to generate results superior to those of traditional methods and similar to those obtained by specific linear programming techniques.

Relationships between well-being, resilience, leadership, and perceived success in SME owners-managers of Ecuador
This paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurial success among owners and managers of Ecuadorian SMEs through the relationship between variables such as business efficiency, psychological resilience and perceived entrepreneurial leadership. We surveyed 385 SME owners and managers in Ecuador and employed hierarchical linear modeling to analyze the data. The findings of this article suggest that entrepreneurial well-being, psychological resilience, and entrepreneurial leadership perceived by owners and managers of Ecuadorian SMEs are positively correlated with entrepreneurial success. There may be a tendency to associate success with economic performance. The practical implications of this study are that owner-managers of SMEs can use the developed measurement scale to evaluate their success and identify areas where they may need support or improvement and develop strategies to foster the best possible business experience. The study also provides insights into factors affecting entrepreneurial success and highlights the importance of promoting a positive entrepreneurial experience. In addition, the study contributes to literature by identifying some limitations and identifying areas for future research.

Structural equations model to analyze the incidence of variables related to innovation management in organizations
Previous works have demonstrated the possibilities to influence the innovation process in organizations. Although the presented initiatives have their merits, they suffer from a lack of integrated perspective. They are focused on the evaluation of the link between the innovation process and only one of the subsystems of the administration, without considering the implications of the other subsystems. The aim of this article is to define a model of structural equations that summarizes the impact of the variables related to innovation management in organizations. This article first presents the identified variables according to the analyzed literature and then shows which variables were selected by consulting experts on the field. To measure the selected variables some questionnaires were elaborated. The questionnaires were applied in 111 entities of different production sectors. A confirmatory factorial analysis was developed with the obtained measures. Thanks to this analysis, it was possible to verify the incidence of the evaluated variables in the innovation management, allowing the elaboration of the model. The proposed model shows the link between the different variables that contribute to the innovation management process. The analysis confirmed that innovation, as a construct, has a multifactorial nature. The information used as input for the elaboration of the model allowed introducing a new sequence of innovation management from the integrated management of the variables that can influence it. This integrated management ensures effective human resources management, production, and marketing. The findings confirm that innovation needs to be managed in an integrated way with the rest of the administrative subsystems rather than as an isolated process. This way of working allows obtaining better results for the organizations. Based on the multisectorial nature of the research sample, it can be assumed that the obtained results can be corroborated in several fields.

Entrepreneurial Leadership and Collaborative Resilience: How Positive Relational Dynamics Shape Entrepreneurial Cognition in Emerging Economies
Despite growing scholarly interest in leadership within entrepreneurial settings, little is known about how relational leadership operates in informal, resource-constrained ecosystems. This study examines how entrepreneurial leadership fosters positive relational dynamics and collaborative resilience within Ecuador’s highly informal entrepreneurial ecosystem. Drawing on entrepreneurial cognition and relational leadership theories, it investigates how entrepreneurs act as informal leaders who cultivate trust, empathy, and mutual support in the absence of formal institutional structures. Using an original mixed-method lexical–clustering design, data were collected from 880 micro and small entrepreneurs in Quito, who categorized 75 entrepreneurial attributes using a forced-choice instrument. Two dominant narratives emerged: collaborative resilience (65%), defined by empathy, adaptability, and social cohesion, and structural vulnerability (35%), marked by bureaucracy, fear, and emotional strain. Gender differences revealed that women emphasize relational stress and communal coping, while men focus on structural barriers and operational constraints. The findings extend leadership research by demonstrating how positive relational processes enable entrepreneurs to transform adversity into collective strength. The study advances relational leadership theory by revealing its cognitive and emotional foundations in nontraditional contexts. It offers policy insights for designing inclusive, trust-based ecosystems that promote psychological safety, collaboration, and sustainable entrepreneurship in emerging economies.

Chain substitution and successive approximation method: Throughput analysis at SMEs
The purpose of this research work is to illustrate that using the logic of theory of constraints (TOC) concerning the Throughput is adequate in management decisions to improve performance in the context of small and medium enterprises. The TOC approach assumes the use of Throughput as an indicator of performance, and in this paper the method of chain substitution and successive approximation is proposed to analyze this indicator. After the implementation of the Throughput per hour analysis, the owner-manager changed her perspective about what her priorities should be in the exercise of the administrative process. The identification of the restriction of what prevented him from obtaining more money allowed him to make the decisions or courses of action that maximized the Throughput per hour, thus improving his performance as owner-manager, the performance of his enterprise and the economic situation of his employees. The originality of this article consists in the application of TOC approach through the design of the indicator Throughput per hour to analyse the performance of an entrepreneur and the application of the chain substitution and successive approximation method for the study of the restrictions that inhibit it.

Logistic contribution from the vision of the technical services in the hotel industry
Purpose: The aim of this paper is based on the theoretical and empirical analysis, with the application of multivariate statistics, for the identification of the essential variables that intervene in the technical services processes of the hotel industry and with it the conformation of a theoretical model for the management of this process. Design/methodology/approach: The methodology designed, used for the processing of research, consists of three phases of development where the selection of variables that from the theoretical order appear in the literature consulted, which are subject to comprehensive to an analysis of experts to confirm its existence in the object of practical study. Subsequently, the design of the evaluation methods of the selected variables is carried out, culminating with the analysis of relationships and influences between variables. All of the above under the multivariate statistics approach. Findings: The main results of this research are achieved after the systematic application of the methodology designed, observing the existence of three essential perspectives that affect the management of technical services in hotel industries, which contain a total of 35 variables which were corroborated from the multivariate statistics. These results allowed the creation of a theoretical model for the management of this process, contributing from the logistical approach with the integration of this subsystem to the business management of the hotel sector. Originality/value: The literature shows multiple theoretical sources referring to studies on technical services in productive entities, observing limitations to address this issue from the order of services and with greater emphasis for the cases of the hotel industries. The originality of this material lies in the experimental identification of the main limitations explicit and (or) implicit in contemporary theory, to address the process of technical services in the hotel industry. From the contributions made as part of this investigation, it is possible to identify those incident variables in this process and their grouping into three perspectives. This result illustrates the performance of this process based on the theoretical model proposed.
