    The objective of the article is to present the design and application of a technique based on the Cost - Volume - Benefit method, in order to have economic - financial information of the right mix of products that allows achieving the expected results of the organization in a negotiation process. The proposed analysis has the usual components of the Cost - Volume - Benefit method, namely unit price, unit variable cost, operating expenses and financial expenses. The technique consists of ten steps that will lead to create as many scenarios as necessary in which the mix of products, the installed capacity and the profits of the organization will be evaluated, the ultimate goal of the same. These steps, through the formulations that allow their application, will explain the way to achieve the desired profits or the point of balance with a certain composition of products. The application is made in a small business consisting of a machining workshop. The results obtained show that the proposed technique allows the achievement of the stated objective, in the case that occupies a level of desired utilities. This research provides an economic-financial perspective so that entrepreneurs have the information required to prepare the negotiation processes and can make the most pertinent decisions in order to achieve the expected results.

    This paper aims to present a proposal to improve this methodology for the analysis of heterogeneous capacities based on the profit margin per product. Which was structured in three moments: development of the proposal, deployment in a business context, and validation of the results through the application of a linear programming method. This proposal considers the five initial steps of the existing tools as a starting point, taking as a reference the normal time available for each homogeneous group and introducing modifications in the steps. The application of the methodology in the conditions of SMEs demonstrated its ability to generate results superior to those of traditional methods and similar to those obtained by specific linear programming techniques.

    This paper aims to establish a model of structural equations that summarizes the degree of incidence of variables related to job satisfaction in organizations. It starts from the identification of the variables to analyze according to the literature on the subject and those that were corroborated through the consultation of experts, later proceed to the construction of instruments for their measurement and application of these to 4,235 employees in 150 entities from different productive sectors. With the results obtained in the surveys, a confirmatory factor analysis was developed, which verified the incidence of the variables evaluated in the work satisfaction and later proceeded to the construction of the model. The model obtained shows the relationship between the different variables that affect job satisfaction and confirming its multifactorial character as a construct. The data that facilitated the generation of the model allow to establish a logic of management of the job satisfaction from managing in an integrated way the latent variables that condition them, ensuring their correct management, such as: the design of work content, working conditions, interpersonal relationships with peers in general and with managers in particular, policies and methods of stimulation and the group work.

    Knowing the path traveled is an important step to be able to distinguish what remains to be traveled. In correspondence with this idea, this study seeks to analyze the investigations carried out by administrative science researchers on the African continent. To achieve this end, we carry out a bibliometric study, starting from an analysis of publications on Administrative Sciences by researchers from the continent reported in Scopus. Once 100% of these publications are reviewed, 86.8% of them are worked on by defining the functions or areas of knowledge where they develop, in the same way the temporal evolution is analyzed, as well as the areas and countries where they develop. In addition, some elements related to the collaboration links between the countries are characterized according to the development of the study, the main journals where the investigation results have been published, and the behavior of the authors with the largest number of publications.

    The objective of this research is to design a model of continuous improvement for the management of human talent, with a focus on labor competencies, linking their core processes and contribute to raising the performance of teachers, improve the perception of students and their social environment and other global results in educational institutions in Ecuador, by the need to strengthen their development within the territory. A cluster analysis using Ward’s method, through the Euclidean distance squared, according to the characteristics of the scale used to evaluate the variables of the models is developed. Validation resulting cluster analysis was performed by comparing the results obtained in the processing of the same sample by the nonhierarchical method, obtaining the corresponding dendrogram. As part of the analysis of the potential variables involved in the multivariate construct competencies management, a procedure for analyzing variables consensus on participants in a theoretical model was used. The contributions are reflected in the theoretical model designed from the four latent variables identified for managing human talent based on labor competencies, generic competencies profile for teachers, diagnostic results on the current situation of the introduction of the approach, and instruments for calculating indicators, which reflect an improvement in the teacher’s perspective, highlighting the level of competencies and the level of competencies development, with a favorable impact on the global results of this institution. It has an added value that focuses on the proposed theoretical model itself, distinguished by the integration of the mainstream in the study of competencies and the design of a management system of human talent based on this approach, making use of systems approach, holistic and strategic direction; providing technically sound tools for competencies development.

    The purpose of this research is to analyze the perception of the environment by SME owners and managers. The research methodology used in this study involved collecting information from 384 SME owners-managers from different sectors of the economy in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador. Proportional stratified sampling was used with 95% confidence and an error of 5%. The data was collected through a self-administered cross-sectional survey questionnaire that aimed to get SME owner-managers to describe how they perceive their environment making a combination of the value of each variable. The study applied categorical principal component analysis (CATPCA) to identify the component structure of social capital by considering the ordinal and nominal nature of the data. The methodology used allowed us to understand the perception of the environment by different SME owner-managers from different sectors of the economy. It also revealed the strategic approach they considered most appropriate to the market situation in which they operate. The practical implications of this research suggest that SME owner-managers can benefit from understanding the perception of the environment by adopting flexible and adaptable solutions to changing environmental conditions, using environmental profiles to uncover opportunities, and anticipating changes to gain valuable insights.

    Map of scientific publications on administration in Latin America
    (Universidad del Zulia, 2023-12-06) ; ; ;

    This research focuses on characterizing the orientation of the research that shows the contributions in the field of administrative sciences in Latin America. To do this, publications on Administrative Sciences by researchers in the region reported in Scopus were analyzed. After an initial review of all these publications, the sample was reduced to 87%, identifying the functions or areas of knowledge towards which they were oriented, their evolution over time, the sectors and countries where they were published, the collaboration networks between countries based on the development of the research and the main journals where they have been published. The results show that the administrative sciences are present in the epistemological development of Latin America, its conception and evolution correspond to the theoretical and methodological principles that established it as a science; They also reflect the existence of a vast network of collaboration in research in this field between countries in the region and beyond. At the same time, they show the need to strengthen the ties of collaboration between the most prolific researchers to strengthen the existence of an autochthonous school that responds to the particularities of the socioeconomic environment where they develop.
