- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Technology for proper selection of patient flow modeling approachesIntroduction: In order to improve the quality of health services, governments develop a set of public policies, for which tools have been developed to classify patient flows. Objective: To propose an assistive technology for the correct selection of patient flow modeling approaches. Methods: The research paradigm is qualitative, based on a bibliographic review in the PubMed and SCOPUS databases, and the Google Scholar search engine; carried out during the period 2004-2024. The validation was carried out using expert criteria, with a pilot application in the General Surgery service of the Faustino Pérez Provincial Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital. Presentation: A checklist was designed to support health managers according to the problems to be solved or analysis to be carried out in the service. For processing and interpretation, an instrument was designed to show the possible approaches to be used from the combination of variables. Conclusions: An assistive technology was designed for healthcare managers for the correct selection of patient flow modeling approaches and thus improve decision-making processes during the implementation process. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Scopus© Citations 3 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Hospital culture and social responsibility: a mixed study of the main lines for its development(Salud, Ciencia y Tecnologia, 2023-10-08) ;Yasniel Sánchez Suárez ;Alfredo Javier Pérez Gamboa ;Hernández Nariño Arialys ;Lee Yang Díaz-ChiengMaylín Marqués LeónSocial responsibility is a key element in meeting the needs of the context in which an organization operates. In the healthcare sector, attention to this concept has involved studying internal aspects, as well as the contribution to its implementation in the management of processes and practices of the organization's agents. In order to analyze the relationship between social responsibility and hospital culture, a mixed study was conducted in two phases. First, a focused ethnography was implemented, followed by a systematic review study. The results showed a poor conceptual development of the category, the importance of organizational ethics, the values in the regulation exerted by hospital culture on social responsibility, and the need for the dual nature of social responsibility in terms of its design as an instrument or strategy of the organization. It is concluded that achieving a better operationalization of social responsibility is necessary for its reproduction in the hospital culture, as such responsibility must be promoted as an individual practice based on a solid worldview, and from this achievement, consolidated as a set of identifiable actions. Thus, quality must be a crossing in the design and description of the dimensions and indicators of social responsibility and an organizational value.Scopus© Citations 20 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Innovación como Herramienta de Gestión Comercial en las Pymes de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas(Universidad UTE, 2021-12-01); ; ; The current disruptive scenario in the Ecuadorian economy encourages SMEs to generate innovations in their management models that allow them to obtain competitive advantages. Through this study, it is intended to know, based on a systemic analysis, the degree of adoption of innovation and ICT tools in SMEs in the city of Santo Domingo (Ecuador). For the development of the study, the mixed, qualitative and quantitative methodological approach was used. Through the application of surveys and documentary review, it is possible to assess how entrepreneurs in this city use ICT. The results of the study show little use of existing technology for the development of innovative management strategies, a consequence of the low level of business culture and the risk aversion of entrepreneurs, a result already reported in previous studies.
