    Ciudad inteligente y Ciudad circular: ¿Similares conceptos?
    (Universidad Tecnologico ECOTEC, 2023-12-30) ; ;
    Rigoberto Anguiano Aldama
    ;
    El actual desarrollo urbano se basa en diversos conceptos. Entre ellos figuran enfoques económicos como el crecimiento (regional) y las teorías del desarrollo que incluyen factores como la evolución de la población. De la sociología proceden teorías que tienen en cuenta cuestiones como el avance de la globalización y la individualización de la sociedad en la ordenación del territorio. En este escenario, surgen nuevas tendencias como es la economía circular como un modelo de desarrollo que contribuye a la sostenibilidad y eficiencia energética y a la reutilización y reaprovechamiento de espacios públicos y privados dentro de procesos urbanísticos. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo central reflexionar sobre la conexión de la economía circular con ciudad Inteligente.

    Estructura conceptual y evolución semántica del branding digital en mercados tradicionales: un estudio bibliométrico de la literatura científica (2000–2025)
    El branding ha evolucionado desde un enfoque funcional basado en la identificación del producto, hacia modelos estratégicos centrados en la experiencia del consumidor y adaptados a los cambios tecnológicos, sociales y culturales. Comprender su estructura conceptual y evolución semántica en relación con los mercados tradicionales permite valorar su potencial como herramienta de diferenciación y competitividad en contextos económicos en transición. Este estudio, de enfoque cuantitativo y naturaleza bibliométrica, analiza un total de 1.305.297 documentos indexados en la base de datos Scopus entre 2000 y 2025, con el propósito de identificar literatura científica de alto impacto, autores influyentes y tendencias temáticas emergentes. El mapeo de co-citación y la arquitectura intelectual posicionan a los investigadores Teoh, Mishra, Verma y Xu como referentes estratégicos en la producción académica vinculada al marketing digital. Estos hallazgos evidencian la consolidación del branding digital como un eje interdisciplinario clave para fortalecer la identidad, la visibilidad y la resiliencia de los mercados tradicionales frente a los desafíos del entorno digital contemporáneo.

    Valoración de Paisaje urbano de Asentamientos Humanos establecidos en las franjas de protección de vía y ríos. Estudio de caso en la Cabecera Parroquial de Alluriquín del Cantón de Santo Domingo, Ecuador
    (Universidad UTE, 2025-11-20) ;
    Gustavo Manuel Benítez Guarnizo
    This article aims to understand the spatial physical development of the rural parish of Alluriquín, shaped by demographic movements that create an urban landscape, lifestyle, and the dynamic and economic activity of its population. Specifically, this study seeks to identify the methodology for visually evaluating the urban landscape of the rural parish of Alluriquín along the Alóag-Santo Domingo arterial route at km 22, established in the protection strips of the road and rivers, which are categorized as vulnerable zones. It takes into account their aesthetic and cultural characteristics in the organization of the territory, using two approaches: theoretical and methodological, both qualitative and quantitative. This research is carried out through visualization, mapping, and data collection of the built landscape, reflecting its growth through road development activities, economic activities, and other territorial characteristics that have led to serious living conditions for humans, affecting the quality of the urban landscape.

    The appealing charm of two-dimensional (2D) materials has sparked a wave of innovation across diverse scientific domains, particularly in the realm of biomedical and therapeutic applications. Among these remarkable materials, MXenes stand out as transition metal nitrides and carbides endowed with extraordinary properties. Boasting low toxicity, expansive surface area, antibacterial prowess, biocompatibility, hydrophilicity, and impressive electrical conductivity, MXenes hold immense promise for a myriad of biomedical applications from bioimaging to cancer therapy and beyond. Despite their vast potential, challenges persist in ensuring controlled drug release, stability in physiological milieus, and biodegradability. By harnessing the transformative power of nanomedicine, meticulously crafted MXene ultra-thin nanosheets emerge as versatile inorganic nanosystems primed for diverse biomedical roles. Positioned as optimal candidates for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, MXenes mark a new age of healthcare innovation. This article delves into the latest strides made in leveraging 2D MXenes for cutting-edge regenerative medicine and tissue engineering applications while shedding light on the formidable obstacles and promising future vistas awaiting exploration with these extraordinary materials.

    Because of their exceptional electrical, mechanical, dimensional, chemical, and magnetic characteristics, MXenes have attracted an abundance of interest in scholarly study lately. According to recent developments and discoveries, MXene, a multilayered compound with a two-dimensional (2D) framework, has a lot greater promise for use in bioengineering and medical research than other nanosystems. These uses encompass medical procedures, administering medications, biosensor technologies, incorporation, antimicrobial agents, and biological imaging. MXenes are very attractive prospects for therapeutic, diagnostic, and theranostic use because of their distinctive features, which include their substantial conductivity to electricity, magnetic luminescence, wide extent of coverage, excellent biocompatibility, and low toxicological profile. Modifications to the MXene surfaces are biocompatible and serve a variety of purposes, such as directing ligands to certain locations for preferred aggregation, which makes them suitable for use in particular applications. A description of the properties, changes, and synthesis techniques of MXene nanostructures is presented in this work. The practical applications of MXene-derived nanostructures in biomedical fields are also thoroughly evaluated in this study, with an emphasis on implants, biosensing, biological imaging, antibacterial activities, and versatile therapeutic systems. The potential opportunities and difficulties related to the use of MXenes throughout the field of biological medicine are also covered in this paper.

    The Gravitational Pull of Cuarón's Gravity
    (Universidade Lusofona, 2022-12-29)
    Film scholar Miguel Mera (2016) argued that Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity (2013) was likely to generate a strong “gravitational pull” towards a broader exploitation of three-dimensional (3D) sound. In this article, the aesthetics of Cuarón’s work are compared to those in a number of other films. Alejandro González Iñárritu’s most recent films are presented as advocates of Cuarón’s film style, referred to here as immersive continuity. This approach makes constant use of long takes that are complemented by the immersive action of 3D sound. Moreover, it is observed that many other motion pictures in a variety of genres have made use of similar aesthetics, creating impressive three-dimensional sound designs. Through the examination of several Dolby Atmos titles, the author suggests that the screen-centrality of the cinematic voice is not as great a concern as previously thought. Ultimately, it is argued that conventional editing is now the biggest obstacle to achieving the mythical total cinema described by André Bazin.
