Abstract
We, the Editor and Publisher of Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, have retracted the following article: Zhu, J., Wang, Y., An, N., Habibi, M., & Wang, H. Application of G-Ori metamaterials as sports equipment baseball bat in an electro-magneto-elastic sandwich composite beam. Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures. 2024. 1–20.

Following publication, it has come to our attention that the authorship list for this manuscript was significantly changed after the submission of the article. We identified additional concerns regarding the relevance of certain references within the article. We queried the authors regarding the references and the authorship, and while they responded, they did not fully address the concerns. As a result, the Editor and the Publisher no longer have confidence in the content presented.

As determining authorship and verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The corresponding author listed in this publication has been informed. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
