Through a documentary analysis and interviews with experts and key actors, needs not covered by SERCOP's active transparency were identified, such as detailed files, specifications of awarded suppliers, reports of claims and complaints filed, and contractual annexes, with an organizational interest and for social control. This paper provides arguments on the evolution of citizens' needs for information on public procurement, highlighting areas where transparency should be strengthened to improve decision-making and accountability.Access to public informationActive transparencyEcuadorPublic procurementTRANSPARENCIA EN LA CONTRATACIÓN PÚBLICA EN ECUADOR: UN ANÁLISIS DE LA DEMANDA DE ACCESO A LA INFORMACIÓNTRANSPARENCY IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT IN ECUADOR: AN ANALYSIS OF THE DEMAND FOR ACCESS TO INFORMATIONjournal-article
